Youth Trail Project

Please register for an account in Fitvil for the PNW Youth Trail Project group and have a parent or guardian complete a liability waiver. A completed liability waiver is required for any youth participant at a Youth Trail Project Event.
The Youth Trail Project is a collection of coaches and community members creating excitement and enthusiasm behind trail running for 12-18 year olds in the greater Seattle area.

- Seward Sizzler- 4.2 mile – Tue, July 9
- Cougar Mountain Series 5k – Sat, August 10 (USATF PNTF Youth Trail Championship )

Put your fitness to the test and earn an incredible view! Sure to be a highlight of the summer!
A big climb and a big descent. Challenging 6.5-mile out-and-back, but achievable by all consistent summer runners of any pace. Option to turn around early, but will miss spectacular view from the top. Expect to run-hike (or hike-run) the climb. It’s ok! Every trail runner hikes on steep climbs, even pros! Recommended: carry a water bottle or hydration bladder. And a phone for pics! (and emergencies) Caution: take it easy on the descent, keep your feet under your body, and watch your step. Full Tiger Mountain trail map (maps not provided) Parking/meeting at Issaquah High School - No parking restrictions. No bathrooms (outhouse at summit).
There may be other XC teams and coaches at this run. PNW Youth Trail Project co-founder Scott "Scooter" Sowle will be on hand also.

DAY 1 Soaring Eagle Park
Wednesday, Jul 24th 9:00am
Enjoy flatter and more easily runnable richly-forested trails and flowing turns Go explore with your fellow runners, have fun, “get lost” on purpose, but know that you’re never far from the central Pipeline Trail and an easy return back to the parking lot. No “recommended routes” in particular. Definitely carry a phone and map for navigation! Official trail map (Coach Danny Naylor will have maps to share) Caution: keep your eyes and ears open for bikers and horses. Always stop and step off-trail for horses. Parking/meeting location at Soaring Eagle Regional Park - No parking restrictions
