Youth Trail Project

Please register for an account in Fitvil for the PNW Youth Trail Project group and have a parent or guardian complete a liability waiver. A completed liability waiver is required for any youth participant at a Youth Trail Project Event.
The Youth Trail Project is a collection of coaches and community members creating excitement and enthusiasm behind trail running for 12-18 year olds in the greater Seattle area.
Free runs: We will be offering free group runs in Winter and in Summer. Please see our events page for up to date information.
Summer trail racing series: We are working on our 2025 event series.

Tiger Mountain 5k Group Run - Brooks Shoe Demo!

Brooks Running is hosting a shoe demo! Show up 15 minutes early to test out a pair of Brooks Cascadia or Catamounts. We have 1-2 shoes per size, first come first serve.
Date and Time: Thursday, 6/19 at 9:30AM, show up at 9:15AM to wear demo Brooks trail shoes!

Location: Issaquah High School by baseball fields. There is free parking off SE Evans Street.

Routes: How high will you go? The trails are well-maintained but steep. Go up until you want to come back down. Route #1 may seem short, but it packs a punch with elevation gain. Route #2, #3 and #4 reach further up on the mountain.

DAY 5 Snoqualmie Tunnel Group Run

**A Headlamp is required for this run! The tunnel is in the dark and will surely be a highlight of the summer.

Location: Palouse-to-Cascades State Park Hyak Trailhead in Hyak. This is a long drive over the pass! A Discover Pass is required for parking ($15 single use, $35 for an annual pass).
Routes: The Snoqualmie Tunnel is a 2.25mi long old railroad tunnel that is open to bikers and runners. The tunnel is completely straight and a wild experience! Runners have the option to extend farther past the tunnel which continues out on the Palouse-to-Cascades gravel path.

DAY 6 Grand Ridge Group Run

Location: South Playfield Parking at Central Park in Issaquah. No parking pass required.
Routes: At the base of Grand Ridge you'll find the Issaquah-Preston Trail, a wide, flat railroad grade gravel path. With a few hundred feet of climbing, you reach the Grand Ridge which has flowy, runnable trails. Route #1 will take you down to the Issaquah-Preston Trail and back up for a nice loop. Route #2 will have you exploring higher up into Grand Ridge, and Route #3 will combine both these options.
