Beginner 5K Spring 2020

Beginner 5K training class for adults is a 9-week program designed to help beginning runners, or those who haven't run in a while, prepare to run a 5K at the end of the season. The program will include a detailed daily plan over the 9 weeks with goal of building the endurance and strength necessary to complete a run/walk of 5K at the end of the season.

Our group goal race is: Run the Quay on Saturday, June 6th and a discount code will be provided for our class to this race. (Race registration is separate from training class registration.)

Cost of this class is: $50. Participants from the Introduction to Running class have been provided with a $25 off promo code to use during registration. Cost includes: 9-week training schedule, 2 coach-led group workouts per week, email access to the coach throughout the program, 10% discount at Pace Yourself Run Company (some restrictions apply), and tips and information about various topics associated with running, including stretching, running form, recovery, injury prevention, cross training, strength training, hydration, nutrition, gear and apparel.

Program dates: April 6th - June 3rd. Group training will meet Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm, Womble Park.
