FFRC Cola Winter 10K 2020
Fleet Feet Running Club's 10k training program is designed to help runners and run/walkers successfully complete the Run Hard or Get to the Green races. The 9-week or 11-week program will safely train beginners for their first 10k, or help experienced runners improve upon their previous 10k time. The Columbia Run Hard and the Get to the Green are our target races. However, you are welcome to choose a different race or run/walk with us for accountability. Along the way, we’ll provide you with motivation to keep you moving by providing guidance and advice. The program includes: weekly group training run/walks, weekly newsletters with training tips, educational clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. Plus you’ll have the camaraderie of others just like you! Program Start: Tuesday, January 7th at 6:30 p.m.. If you would like to run with the Irmo group, they will be running at Irmo Community Park. If you would like to run with the Forest Acres group, they will be running at Owen's Field. The program's weekly schedule is as follows: Tuesdays 6:30pm, Thursdays 6:30pm and Saturdays 7:00AM.
