Core Strength for Runners - July 2017

This four-week program is designed to educate runners about the importance of a strong core while teaching participants key core exercises that can be incorporated into weekly training routines. Each class will begin with discussing key muscle groups and how they relate to strong, efficient running, followed by a demonstration of exercises. The remainder of the class will be a workout utilizing exercises reviewed.  More challenging moves will be introduced as the class progresses.

Classes will meet weekly from Friday, July 7th through Friday, July 28th at 6:30am - 7:15am at Brookdale Park's Tom Fleming Athletic Complex.  Class will be conducted in the end zone area opposite the scoreboard side of the track.

This class has a maximum size of 18.  Exercise mat is required.
