Fleet Feet Fall Training 2026
Welcome to Your Journey to Race Day: Fleet Feet Fall 2026 Training Program
Whether you are lacing up for your first 5K or chasing a marathon personal record, the Fleet Feet Fall 2026 Training Program has a plan for you. This season, we are offering all four classic race distances: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon, along with two newly revamped training track options so you can train in the way that works best for you.
What's New: Two Training Track Options
We have completely redesigned our training program to better support every type of runner and walker. Choose the track that best fits your goals:
Performance-Based Track
Designed for runners who are already comfortable with their chosen distance, whether they have completed it before or are using it as their training base, and want to improve speed, strength, and efficiency. This plan includes structured workouts, pacing strategies, and skill development to help enhance performance and prepare for race day.
Distance-Based Track
Ideal for runners and walkers who want to complete the distance while enjoying the support and accountability of a training community. This plan focuses on gradually building endurance without the pressure of speed-based training.
Each plan includes structured programming, expert coaching, and ongoing support. You choose the approach that fits your goals best.

DAY 2 Saturday Morning Meetup (Workout & Long Run)
Saturday, Aug 15th 7:30am
Saturday Long Run 7:30 AM | Location rotates between Boise Greenbelt and Meridian Parks (TBD each week)
We start together! Four of our Saturday meetups will kick off at The Protein Spot, and we'll all head out as a group, sticking to the same route along the Greenbelt and through the neighborhood. Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can start our warm-ups together on time :)
Since everyone's training for different distances, anywhere from 5K to marathon, we won't necessarily finish together. When you wrap up your run, be sure to finish out your stretches. You'll find a cooldown stretch video in your video library to guide you. Then snap a picture and post it in the Facebook group! We love seeing you out there.

DAY 3 Wednesday Speed/Pace Workout
Wednesday, Aug 19th 6:00pm
Wednesday Speed Work Quinn's Pond, dirt side, moving toward Veterans Park
Meet us at the Esther Simplot Park sign in the parking lot by the red bridge. We'll do our warm-up together from there, heading back to the metered-off area on the dirt Greenbelt paths. A Google Maps link to the meetup spot will be included in every weekly email.
Workouts change every week, so warm-ups will look a little different each time, but we always start together. Expect total time commitment to run anywhere from 25 minutes up to an hour. The actual work intervals are typically much shorter than what you're used to in a regular run workout, with plenty of recovery built in between.
These workouts are written for every pace level, from a brisk speed-walk all the way up to an all-out sprint. Whatever your effort, this session is for you.
Bring water, wear sunscreen, and come ready to sweat! Cheer on your teammates along the way. Speed work builds more than just speed: it increases your mitochondrial production, which means you'll feel stronger and more efficient on your long runs too.
