Fuel Your Miles is a beginner-friendly spring training program built around community, accountability, and simple nutrition education for runners and walkers.

This 7–9 week program begins with a kickoff on April 22 and leads into two race options: the Treasure Valley Rescue Run 5/10K on June 6. Participants also have the option to continue training for two additional weeks, with a continuity group meetup on June 13 and an optional second race at the Caldwell Classic 5K on June 20.

This program is designed to be approachable and flexible. Saturday group runs will support a wide range of abilities, with distances ranging from approximately 0.5 mile to 6 miles, making it a great fit for beginners, walkers, run/walk participants, and those building consistency.

Our Medical Partner for the season is Wright Physical Therapy specializing in orthopedic care, injury prevention, and a variety of high-quality manual therapies to help keep your body feeling its best throughout training and beyond. Physical therapists from Wright will be at many of our weekly meetups to help address any concerns that may pop up along the way.

While training together, participants will also learn simple, practical fueling strategies to support energy, recovery, and performance. Wednesday meetups will rotate between workshops, mini-seminars, discussions, and community potlucks, covering topics such as macronutrients, carbohydrates, hydration, electrolytes, and fueling for runs.

Fuel Your Miles is not about overcomplicating nutrition. It is about helping people feel more confident in how they move, how they fuel, and how they show up for themselves alongside a supportive community.
