Jacksonville 2025 Fall 5K Program

In partnership with Onslow Community Outreach Turkey Trot, we are proud to present the 2025 Turkey Trot 5k Training Program. Whether you are just starting your fitness journey, or looking for a new PR, we have designed training plans to help you meet your goals. Each workout is designed with a very specific goal to keep all participants advancing and gaining fitness at a safe and proven cadence.

Our 5K program lasts October 7th - November 27th with in-person practices on Tuesday evenings at 6:15pm and Saturday mornings at 7:00am.

Pre-Training Info Sessions

Interested in training with us but have questions? Join us at one of our Pre-Training Info Session Open House on Tuesday, September 30th at 6:45pm at the store to meet the Head Coach, some of your Mentors and Fleet Feet Team. Get your questions answered and gain a full understanding of the program before signing up.

Kick Off Workouts

  • Tuesday, October 7th at 6:15pm - Mile Workout

What to Expect at the Mile Workout?

Our program is designed for various levels of ability so we use this first workout to help us put participants into groups based on their base and fitness level. We realize that every participant is going to come to us with a different speed and level of fitness. This is why we do the Mile on day one. During this 1-mile workout, we ask that every participant gives their best effort to finish the mile. This could involve running, walking or even some rest breaks if necessary.  

Based on your pace, we will set you up with a Mentor who will meet you at your fitness level and make sure you are challenged, but not discouraged. This Mentor-led group is going to be your support system who gets you to the finish line 8 weeks later!  

Weekly Workouts

  • Tuesdays, 6:15PM at various locations around town depending on the workout needs
  • Saturdays, 7:00AM at Fleet Feet Jacksonville

Workouts will begin with a dynamic warm-up and, followed by our run, and ending with a cooldown.
