Fall 2025 Trail 5k and 10k Program

 
Fleet Feet Chico Trail Training Program – Fall 2025
     Explore. Climb. Sweat. Smile. Repeat.
 
Some of the most magical miles you’ll ever run happen on the trail—where the pavement ends and the adventure begins. You’ll get dirty. You might get wet. You’ll definitely earn some breathtaking views. You’ll log “bonus miles” without even realizing it. And it will be AWESOME.
This 9-week training program is built specifically for trail runners—those who don’t mind a little mud on their shoes, love the challenge of hills, crave the chance to spot a coyote or bald eagle, and live for the kind of views you can only find in the North State’s beautiful parks.
 
We’ll gradually build from 2–3 miles up to 4–7 miles, all while preparing for our goal race:

Program Kickoff + Fun Run
Saturday, August 16 | 7:30 AM | Hooker Oak Park

Meet your coach, Shawna Batham, learn more about the program, and hit the trail for your first official group run. Bring a friend and come ready to move!
 
Program Includes:
Twice-weekly coached group workouts
9-week daily training plan
Trail-specific clinics & tips
Destination runs on North State trails
A supportive community of trail lovers
Encouraging coaches and enthusiastic mentors
Accountability, friendship, and fun!
 
Our team is all about positivity, support, and discovering your love for the trail. You’ll meet fellow runners who share your passion for nature, movement, and a little grit.
Group Workout Schedule:
Tuesdays at 6:15 PM
Saturdays at 7:30 AM
Some Saturdays will include out-of-town runs—details will be shared via weekly emails from your coaches.
 
Who This Program Is For:
    This is for experienced runners who are ready to take on trail challenges.
Injury-free at program start
Can comfortably run 2-4 miles by week 1
Age 18+
Equipped with proper trail gear (shoes, hydration, etc.)

Trail running is more technical than road running—expect roots, rocks, elevation, and adventure!
No pets or children are permitted at group workouts for safety.

Registration: $115
Race entry fee not included
Refund deadline: Saturday, August 23 at midnight
(Registrations are not transferable to future programs.)
