Rules and Regulations
1. Eligibility & Registration
Participants must be at least 18 years of age by the date of the marathon.
All participants must complete the registration process and submit any required medical forms or waivers.
A basic level of fitness is required; participants should be able to run or walk at least 5 km before starting the program.
2. Health & Safety
Participants are strongly encouraged to consult a healthcare provider before beginning the program.
Injuries or health issues must be reported to the program coordinator immediately.
Hydration, proper nutrition, and rest are essential and emphasized throughout training.
All runners must carry emergency contact information during long runs.
3. Training Attendance & Punctuality
Group training sessions will occur [insert frequency, e.g., 3x weekly], and long runs on weekends.
Participants are expected to arrive on time. Warm-ups begin promptly at the scheduled start time.
Absences should be communicated in advance to the coach or group leader.
4. Code of Conduct
Respect fellow runners, coaches, and support staff at all times.
No form of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated. Anyone found guilty will be removed from the program and are not eligible for a refund
Follow all instructions provided by coaches or trainers.
5. Training Guidelines
Adhere to the training schedule provided. Any modifications should be discussed with a coach.
Avoid overtraining; rest days are mandatory for recovery and injury prevention.
Long runs must be completed at a conversational pace unless otherwise specified.
6. Gear & Equipment
Proper running shoes (fitted within the last 6 months) are required.
Reflective gear and headlamps are mandatory for early morning or evening runs.
Participants must bring their own water, fuel (gels, electrolytes), and weather-appropriate attire.
7. Weather & Emergency Policies
In cases of extreme weather (e.g., lightning, excessive heat), sessions may be postponed or canceled. Participants will be notified in advance.
In the event of a medical emergency, trainers are authorized to stop a participant’s run.
8. Marathon Commitment
Runners are expected to complete at least 80% of the scheduled long runs to be considered ready for race day.
The decision to run the full marathon will be based on consistent training, physical readiness, and a pre-race health check (if applicable).
9. Media & Photography
Participants consent to photos or videos being taken during sessions for promotional or educational use, unless otherwise requested in writing.
10. Waiver of Liability
By enrolling in the program, participants acknowledge and accept the risks associated with endurance training and agree not to hold the organizers liable for injuries or losses sustained during training.
