Fleet Feet Fall Ultra Training

Fleet Feet’s Fall Ultra Training group is a fun, but serious, 16 week ultra-marathon training program. This program is designed for intermediate runners looking to train for their first 50k ultra marathon or for veteran trail runners wanting to improve on trail running techniques and strategies. This program will prepare you for the Coldwater Trail 50k in Anniston, AL on October 24, 2025, but you can also use the training to prepare for another fall 50k.

Program Features:

  • Two supervised running workouts per week (Tuesday speed work and Saturday long run)
  • One supervised running-specific strength workout per week at Fitness 300 (Thursdays at 6 pm)
  • One additional general strength workout per week at Fitness 300 (Monday is suggested, but choose a day that works with your schedule).
  • In-person and email support for individual questions regarding training
  • Varied training venues to provide stimulus on different types of terrain
  • Group talks and emails on nutrition, footwear, form, strength training, etc.
  • Tech training shirt
  • Discounts at Fleet Feet, Swift Recovery, Fitness 300, and Functional Chiropractic

Participation requirements

While our program will accommodate a broad range of athletic talent, fitness, and experience, ultra marathon training is a serious and challenging endeavor.

  • You must have equivalent training or have completed a half marathon distance in the spring of 2025
  • You should be comfortable with a flat surface pace of 13:00 per mile or faster for a distance of at least 10 miles

Kick-off: Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 7 pm at Fleet Feet Huntsville

Training Starts: Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 6 am

Weekly Training: Tuesdays at 6 am or 6 pm, Saturdays at 6 am

Locations: Fleet Feet Huntsville, Fitness 300, and various trails in the area

Price: $400 ($100 monthly)
