2022 Trail Training

This 12 week training program is designed to build your endurance on the trails, while also learning the fun in getting dirty.  Group runs are held on Wednesdays at 6PM and Saturdays at 7AM. Saturday runs will be held at a local trail determined by Coach Paul. Areas that you'll be running on include the Yockanookany trail off the Trace, Lefleur's Bluff, and Butt's Park. Each participant will receive a training plan to guide them through the 12 week program. The first group run will be held Wednesday, July 13th. 

You will be coached by veteran trail runner Paul Van Hooydonk. He is in his 6th year as the Fleet Feet Trail Coach and does a great job of educating, preparing, and encouraging runners! The full program will prepare you for the goal race, Ivy Trek (Quitman, MS), on October 1st. A selection of distances will be available to choose from including a 12.5K, 25K, and 50K. Camping and cabins are available at the state park and hotels are located in Meridian. Register for the trail training and receive a promo code for $15 off goal race registration!
