Spring Training - PR Squad 2020 - Fleet Feet Raleigh/Morrisville

The Fleet Feet Raleigh/Morrisville PR Squad is an intermediate half marathon and marathon training program beginning on January 7th. 
 

The program is designed for participants who have completed at least one race at their goal distance and would like to participate in intense group workouts to increase endurance and speed at this distance.

We will train for 13 weeks on Tuesdays at 6 pm and Saturdays at 7:30 am.

Spring Training is not geared to one particular goal race. Participants are encouraged to sign up for whichever half or full marathon they would like to run! We will have training schedules that are adjusted to different goal races in the area. If you are planning to do a race elsewhere please let your coach know.

If you want to train hard to aim for a new PR, this program is for you! We'll meet as a  group on Tuesday evenings to complete various intense workouts meant to build your fitness toward race day; these include hill repeats, time-based intervals, and tempo runs. On Saturday mornings, we'll meet with a larger group for long runs designed to incorporate mileage at your race pace. You'll benefit from having the support of a dedicated group of fellow goal-chasers within a larger group of half and full marathon runners. We'll also discuss race fueling, pacing strategies, how to support your running with strength work and cross training, and much, much more!
