You can do 26.2! The Full Marathon Training Program is a 14-16 week program designed to prepare runners for their first ever endurance event or to help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal. The program includes a training plan designed by experienced coaches, group runs twice weekly, a Brooks technical t-shirt, and prizes throughout the session. You don’t have to do a 20 mile training run alone-Fleet Feet Sports is here for you! Program Benefits Written training will be provided once the training sessions begin Weekly group training sessions Weekly informational e-mail updates Exclusive discounts to Fleet Feet Sports Experienced coaching at all group workouts Energy replacement drinks and water at workouts Personalized training intensities based on speed work times Running schedules developed by RRCA coach LePret Williams Education on proper form, fueling, pacing, stretching and more! 8 weeks of speed training from January 6th - February 24th Training Program Details -Registration opens: October 17, 2014 -Kick off date: Tuesday, December 2nd, 2014 -Training location and times: Fleet Feet Sports, Montgomery Marathon course, and surrounding areas. -Speed training location: Fleet Feet Sports, and surrounding areas at 6 p.m. on Tuesday - starting January 6th - February 24th -Price: $125 -Training program size: 100 participants -Meet your coaches by visiting at one of our informational sessions! Required activity prior to the Fleet Feet Sports marathon training group We want you to be successful with your marathon training and be able to beat the 6 hour marathon cut off time. The following are pre-requisites for the marathon training program: Run/walk under a 12 minute per mile pace. Participants must be at least 14 years of age to register. By the end of July, participants should be able to comfortably run 20+ miles a week and a 10 mile long run. Due to the Montgomery Marathon cut-off time of 6 hours, training participants will have either completed a half marathon in 2:51:00 or a 10K in 1:16:00 within a year prior to registration. Need to be injury free and cleared by your doctor. Nutritional clinics and evaluations provided by Registered Dietitian Rachel Laughlin. These talks will include pre-workout fueling and post workout recovery foods.
