2018 Fall 1/2 Marathon Finish

Join the tens of thousands of people who challenge themselves every year to the fastest growing distance race in the country – the half marathon. This terrific 13.1 mile distance is challenging and yet achievable. The finish program is build to target runners who are looking to work towards finishing the Half Marathon and having fun while doing it. We have an exceptional coaching staff to lead you in your training.  The training will focus on building endurance and on increasing the overall volume of your running and will include the run/walk training technique.  Runners coming into this program need to be running 3-4 times per week and should be able to comfortably run or run/walk 5 miles.  This program is structured to help you train for the Mistletoe Half Marathon.

Informational Session: Saturday, July 28th between 10:00am- 3:00pm at Fleet Feet Sports

Kick Off Meeting:  Saturday, September 1st at 8:00am at Fleet Feet Sports

Coached Workouts:  Mondays at 6pm and Saturdays at 7am through September.  Saturday start time will change to 8am beginning October 6.  First practice will be 7am Saturday, September 8th

Race Date:  Mistletoe Half Marathon on Saturday, December 1st

Cost: $125 (does not include race registration)

Program Details: 

Monday nights you will be challenged with volume and a combination of hill work, form drills and speed workouts. Designed to help you run faster and more efficiently, you will be amazed with your improved overall fitness from these challenging and fun sessions.

Saturday mornings we will go the distance.  We will run long runs at an easy effort to build up your strength and stamina in preparation for race day.

Pacing: This group will use pace groups helping you to reach your goal while enjoying the group enviroment during training.  Your registration information sheet and our first group practice will allow us to appropriately place you in your group.  Your schedule will be tailored for your running pace and incoming volume that you will use throughout the program to help reach the goal of finishing a Half Marathon strong.
