5K Finish / 5K Fast (Fall 2018)

Our Fall 2018 5K training programs are structured to help you cross the finish line for the 1st time, or the 10th time, in just 8 weeks. 5K Finish is for beginner runners looking to complete their first 5K race. The program not only includes a training plan with walk and run options, but a professional coach, and a team atmosphere with the camaraderie of others just like you. Throughout the program, weekly group training sessions will keep you motivated and moving. Educational clinics cover topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury. For participants who are looking to run a faster 5K race, the 5K Fast plan is what you will want. It will focus on pace and form, as well as emphasize continuous running. You will be introduced to different components of training that will help build speed and strength to ensure you reach the finish line as a healthier and happier runner. Weeknight workouts will include speed or interval training, while weekend workouts will increase distance. 5K Fast Training mileage will be longer than the race distance, while 5K Finish starts at one mile and increases to 3 miles over the course of the program.  Program start date is 9/4/18.
