Trail Ultra Marathon Training - Fall 2017

2017 Trail Ultra Marathon Training will continue to challenge endurance athletes physically, mentally, and emotionally with organized group runs on mountain trails. This program is intended for athletes interested in finishing a 50K or 50 mile trail run event. Safety is our primary concern; thus runners in the ultra training program learn to be self-sufficient on long runs using individual hydration packs, nutrition, lights, and first-aid supplies. 

50K: We suggest that athletes new to our program take the 50K option. Trail runners in this program have experience hiking and running 5 hours or more. Athletes from the previous year’s ultra training program will be back to encourage each other and first time ultra runners. 50 Mile: Athletes who have completed a couple of 50Ks are encouraged to run the 50 mile event. Athletes will average 30-50 miles (6-10 hours) of running per week for 3 months. Join us in training for The North Face Endurance Challenge in San Francisco!
