Hillbillies Trail Camp

We are thrilled to announce Hillbillies Trail Camp version 2.0! Last year’s event was a blast and we are so thankful for those that attended. We learned some things the last time around, and we are really upping our game for Spring ’16.

So you wanna’ know the deets? We are adding an extra night this time around, so that will give us one more full day of running, learning, and having fun. Camp will run from Thursday evening March 3rd to midday Sunday March 6th. Better yet, we are moving the location from one island to another. Camp will be held at Camp Moran on Orcas Island. Can I get a huge heck yeah?

Camp Moran will be bigger and better in a lot of ways. For one, we’ll now have a full kitchen to use for the entirety of the camp. Plus there are over 30 miles of trails to run within Moran State Park. From beautiful lakes to stunning views of the San Juan Islands from the top of Mt. Constitution, Camp Moran will offer an epic trail running experience.

You want more? Well we’ve got some more for you. The North Face is sponsoring Hillbillies camp v 2.0 and they will be sending Hal Koerner, also known as the Happiest Runner on Earth, to guest coach at camp. You will have the opportunity to run alongside and pick the brain of one of the top trail runners in the world. Michele is coming back too, so the food will be out of this world.

This camp is geared toward all levels from aspiring trail runner to seasoned ultra running veteran. We don’t want this in any way to be or to feel exclusive, but you’ll enjoy everything camp has to offer if you’re comfortable being on your foot for two hours or more at a time. There are no speed requirements, nor are there really any distance requirements, but you’ll definitely be able to maximize your camp experience if you’re comfortable on the move for a couple of hours at a time. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity and we hope to see you in March!
