Not Ready for a Half Marathon yet or want to work on increasing your speed at a slightly longer distance, this training program is perfect for you.  The Capitol 10 Miler Program is a 13-14 week program designed to prepare runners for their first ever endurance event or to help seasoned runners meet a new performance goal.  The program includes a training plan designed by experienced coaches, group runs twice weekly, and prizes throughout the session. You don’t have to do long training runs alone-Fleet Feet Sports is here for you!

Training Program Details

-Registration opens: July 1, 2015
-Kick off date: Tuesday, August 4th, 2015
-Training location and times: Fleet Feet Sports, Capitol 10 miler course, and surrounding areas.
-Speed training location: Fleet Feet Sports, and surrounding areas at 6 p.m. on Tuesday - starting September 22nd-October 29th 
-Price:   $125
-Training program size: 100 participants

Required activity prior to the Fleet Feet Sports Capitol 10 training group

We want you to be successful with your marathon training and be able to beat the course cut off time. The following are pre-requisites for the training program:

  • Run/walk under a 12 minute per mile pace. 
  • Participants must be at least 14 years of age to register.
  • By the end of July participants should be able to run 4 miles.
  • Need to be injury free and cleared by your doctor.
